The security guard pulled my backpack as I was entering. I felt like a school kid pulled by the head master for getting late into the class. It was for a security check. I felt it was worth it. Since 26/11 - the first time I heard of this place - I've always wanted to visit this place. Having obliged the security, I realized a table for one was very difficult to get. The place was not very different from what I had imagined. The staff was very helpful and very proud of their place. I was asked to go to the first floor and I settled on a small table next to the aisle.
The 70 odd minutes I spent with my pint was most satisfying. There was a firang backpacker reading lonely planet India. The couple sharing a pitcher were trying hard to explain to the staff that spicy food is not something they would prefer. There was a business meeting. I did nothing, but sat with the sounds, with the pride in the staff, with myself.
Almost picked up artifacts - mugs / tees, but, stopped myself for artifacts are just a currency ain't it? (yes, let us debate about this, perhaps in the next post)

Nice. Its difficult to know that you CAN have fun alone. Once you realise that, you are on your own, boy!
