Pune was fresh, mainly because of the drizzle that had just stopped, and, because of a large number of young faces. The drive from the airport to the hotel was filled with a dialogue on the knowledge transfer session I was going to anchor, the next day. The driver of the Sainath Taxi spoilt the mood by refusing to drop us near the hotel, but, about a 100 meters behind. It is surprising that such a large number of people who directly come in contact with the customer don't know the concept of how handling a customer could affect the business. Its not just here or in Bangalore or Chennai, but in every single part of India.
The colleague was talking about the morning walks he had taken at the Fergusson College and the PYTs that abound in the city. After check in, and tasting the best 'sabudana vada' in the world, I was surprised to see the menu card offer Neer Dosa. I gave in after which the world's best buttermilk found its way inside my body. The stomach indicated that I may have pampered it with food.
With the continued drizzle and lack of assistance from the auto drivers, we had to walk to Prabhat Road through one of the most pleasant roads. The colleague knew these gallis well and took us with such expertise that only a Puneri can boast of. After 15 mins of walk, asking a person who seemed to be shocked at a human interaction, we landed up at another colleague's house on Prabhat Road. I don't know if it was the walk or the weather, water tasted so good that you just don't know.
Once the discussion about tomorrow, today & yesterday ended, we headed back to the good ol' hotel, through the good ol' pleasant roads, including the 15 minutes and taking directions from two very helpful people. Once back the bed invited with open arms and the mind made a note of how beautiful the city is and wanting to stay here at some point in life.
The next thing I knew was it was morning.

Thanks Rafiki. I'm moved by your comment. I moved from the table chair to the bed. Thanks.
Anytime for you. :P Remember me when you need to move.
Pune eh!! heard good things about it! where else has your 8 weeks of travel taken you?
Yeah, Pune is good. The 8 weeks has seen me in Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore. It has been quite exhausting, I must say.
Beautiful! Pune is absolutely beautiful! Its wonderful to see someone having enjoyed the beauty of my city!!
But am afraid the auto rickshaw drivers in all parts of India are bent on not letting us enjoy all we want to!
You must visit the Pune university campus the next time you go there.
