But but no one owns the game. I find that an impossibility. Maybe certain companies own the rights to Scrabble's name and certain words for techniques used in that game. But at this point in time, this word game we're discussing should be considered a public-domain challenge. Much in the way a crossword puzzle isn't owned by anyone. Scrabble is a form--has become a form. It isn't just a product. And you can't claim ownership to a form. Well, you could try, but that just wouldn't be cool.Its not yet removed from facebook as I'm typing this and I have 8 games in progress. My rating is 1506 as of now. Oh, did I tell you I'm totally addicted to it? I have mentioned Scrabulous in my previous posts but what you don't know is the time I spend on it.
When founders Rajat and Jayant started the scrabulous application on facebook, the popularity grew leaps and bounds from what they had with this website.
Here's the techcrunch report on it, and, as a scrabulous fan, I am at exactly the same predicament as anna is.

Scrabulous has been so addictive.
I just wish there is some sort of settlement and just leave the game alone.
