An Aesthetically Pleasing Slope!

1. Explain the shape of the graph
Its curvy, with a higher bit at the end and rather aesthetically pleasing slope downwards towards a pretty flat strait bit. The actual graph itself consists of 2 strait lines meeting at the lower left hand corner of the graph moving awaya at a 90 [deg] angle. Each line has an arrow head on the end

I found this in my 'interesting pictures' pile this morning. Boy! I would like to personally meet this guy who has written this.

What if this guy is in marketing? wow! I can't imagine the consequences..
