It takes a Karan Thapar to do this!
As I was changing channels, I was amazed to see Karan Thapar interviewing Prez Gen Musharaff! And the temperature was getting hotter for the prez with each word spoken by karan. The piece I loved in the interview went something like this. It may not be the exact words, but this is the content..
Gen: I am willing to do anything to move the peace process forward with India
Karan: Are you sure anything
Gen: absolutely
Karan: SO you wouldn't mind taking ideas from journalists in the middle of interviews for the peace process with india?
Gen: %%&@#$??

The interview went like this-
Karan Thapar made a suggestion to General Musharaff. The latter showed interest and said he would give it serious consideration. Thapar summarised the General's unrestricted approach by saying he would even take suggestions from a journalist. It wasn't a challenge. It was a purposeful remark made before the nation to emphasise the General's willingness to make progress.
There was mutual amiability and respect.
