M.O.U period extended indefinitely

In the wake of the awareness of being hounded (please read, its really good), all the canines on my street - there are about 8 (+ 4 floating popoulation) - and the riders in my street have mututally extended the MOU period, signed one year back.

It may be recalled, the canines being ruthless, as described by quatros in the link above, started to 'chase' every two wheeler that dared on the street, pushing the riders to zoom for life. "They have a strategy and accordingly allocate resources to chase the two wheelers, depending on the octane number of the fuel that has been used", says jimmy (name changed, upon request).

When this activity happened day after day, without stoppage, the residents got furious and decided to retaliate. The riders on the street got together and discussed and debated and concluded that the last generation of paleolithic men (and the entire generation of mesolithics who dwelled in the stone age) were afterall, right.

A gameplan was thus devised. The street was divided into two parts - the canine zone and the rider zone.

A rather brave rider used to intentionally ride in the canine area, teasing the canines, making them chase and eventually enter riders zone (trap, in otherwords). No sooner did one dog enter the riders zone, all the riders hurled lithodical fragments (stones, in other words) around the canine so as to let it put the rider's shoes and fear for life.
This carried on for a considerable time.

Two sides then decided to be friends afterall and signed an Memorandum Of Understanding which, in a nutshell stated that,
riders will not be chased in canine zone, canines will not be stoned in rider's zone..

The decision to extend the MOU period has been unanimous and the next review perios has been postponed indefinitely. There was merry amongst either folk as they rejoiced, danced, drank and dined on this occasion.

Vish,

What happens when you are riding in another area.. you are talking abt Man's best Friend!!

@ quatros, thanks bud, those *are* good links

@ mystique, very true, man's best friend, but not the two wheeler's best friend. in another area, i just slow down to the lowest speed - thats the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

Nevertheless M.O.U.... was quite captivating amidst the busy schedule and gave a relief tht you are safe in your area and so are the canines ;-)
