The other day, I was passing in front of a multiplex and wanted to know which movies were playing. All I had was a mobile. Yes, calling and knowing is one. I really wished if I could book tickets using my handset.
A couple of days later, I get a sms from bookmyshow.com informing me about an application for my mobile, through which I can not just know which movie is playing where, but book tickets too! (I'm yet to book tickets through the application)

The Gmail App (which can be downloaded from your mobile phone, point your browser to www.gmail.com/app) is a great tool for checking emails on the go. I can not just read them, but reply, search and compose new mails as well. Its quite fast and a very useful app.

Markets on Mobile is another such app which is by TV18, lets me do my own research while waiting for this or that (or him or her), here and there. This is available at moneycontrol.com, though I'm unable to find that now. I got a sms from them on a promotion and I had downloaded that.

And, Cricket! yes, live scores at your arm's end. Nothing can be more easier! When Cricinfo announced their mobicast, I was delighted. (Here: http://www.cricinfomobile.com/mobile/)

What I'm hoping for is a facebook application through which I can play scrabulous. I sure hope the makers are reading this. I skim through google reader and read up on all the posts that are waiting for me.
Mobilizing is surely IN!
(scoop: Linkedin goes mobile - finally)
