Kite Runner

There are very few authors who have the power to move the reader. Move the reader beyond words. Khaled Hosseini is one such. I finished the book yesterday and was glad I read it.

It ranks right up there, along side Life of Pi, Siddartha, ZMM and such like.

The brilliance of his writing takes the reader into another world - the world in Afghanistan. The protagonists' narration takes the reader through the tragedies, celebrations and intimate moments.

Makes a great read! And one to own.

(the movie site is here: http://www.kiterunnermovie.com/ will have to wait until it releases in India)

It was only after reading 'Kite runner' that I assured myself that Kabul was not a war site from the beginning. It had beautiful gardens and People did live happily then.

@medhini: yes, "reckless" and "kite flying" people lived happily then. :)

@preethi: am glad you did. As a fee for my services, You've to gift a copy of the book to the cute-yet-intelligent looking bong babe in the bookshop, courtesy sleepyface. And the taxes are taken care by you giving her her my mobile number.

I'm glad you bought it, O. Its worth the effort that you have put in. Now I can sleep in peace that my little unedited blogpost has increased the sales of the book and has bought Mr.Hosseini more business.
