55 word creativity

Some of the best works have been written with constraints. And with constraints on the number of words used, it only gets better.

Most of you are aware of the 55 fiction. There was this contest in one of the group blogs that I am a part of and the creativity in the stories are something unbelievable. Below are the ones that were undoubtedly, unbelievably, superlative-exhaustively, good...:

Companion

She threw her mobile agonized and hurt; looked at the empty room for comfort; wanted to be alone. He looked up, his eyes understanding and shifting positions tenderly rested his head on her lap. Overwhelmed with tears, she smiled at her companion; Jimmy, her Labrador & she knew she was alone, but not lonely.

“Sorry Sir, I can’t do this to him, It’s our Bopu” replied in a loud voice…… With tears in eyes “My Bopu Sir”

“Capt. Bopanna Ponnaccha, don’t worry, you’re are okay, there is no shelling now”
With pain and anguish “Subodh, I know you will come back for me”
