Book Review: Siddartha by Hermann Hesse

Just finished reading this book.

instinctive feelings: moving, highly influential

This book is a story of Siddhartha who is in search of the 'ultimate'. He encounters a lot of experiences which help him take himself to the ultimate.

The fact that I found this book so moving and influential is - i could relate so many things happening around me (in my personal space) at various stages of the story.

I stumbled upon answers to questions that were left unanswered, more, this book helped me frame the question itself. No, it didn't tell me the answer, but it helped my find it. it helped me arrive at it.

Chances that this will do to you is high. I had been recommended this book by a friend and exactly a week later, some other unrelated bunch of people gifted me this book.

I am grateful to the person who selected this book.

Highly Recommended. Copy to be owned.

Always good to see people discover or rediscover Hesse. as cliche as it might sound finding him sculpted my world and life view. indeed siddhartha was my first experience with him, followed very quickly by DEMIAN, which is just as magnificent as siddhartha, if not more. and now i've read all his works at least twice, many of them more than that.
enjoy.
