Observation 1: You didn't want me to call you again.
Reason: If I really eat my handset and improve my voice, How do I call you back? I won't have a handset! grr....
Observation 2: You want my voice to improve come what may!
Reason: You're saying, "I wouldn't mind not talking to you if the remedy helps you to improve your voice"
